Solar panels bring clean energy to nearly all of IKEA USA's stores — providing just one example of growing corporate demand for renewable energy infrastructure. Globally, 50 percent of Ikea's energy use comes from renewable sources. That's a money-saving investment in the form of reduced energy costs, according to IKEA USA President Mike Ward. Through a mix of solar, wind and geothermal installations, IKEA hopes to produce more energy than it consumes by 2020.
