Residential Wind Power - Residential Wind Power




Some things to consider when looking at a small or residential wind turbine or generator. The main point is to be sure that your turbine or generator will produce enough voltage to actually use. A grid tie inverter requires a minimum of 10.8 volts and charge controllers require 12. This usually means you need fairly constant high winds in order to create a meaninful power supply or you'll end up with a high-priced weather vane.
