Solar Energy - Solar Energy International Outreach Programs




In addition to Solar Energy International's professional and career focused technical training, SEI is committed to changing the world by teaching the world how to use renewable energy and sustainable building techniques. Through our outreach programs, SEI works with grassroots and development organizations around the world to promote sustainability and improve quality of life. We also work to educate schoolchildren and teachers about wise energy use and renewable energy sources and careers. Solar In the Schools -- High-energy educational outreach for K-12 students and educators. Solar In the Schools delivers classroom presentations, teacher training workshops and public appearances, using hands-on renewable energy activities to engage and inspire. International Program -- SEI provides training to groups around the world interested in using renewable energy technologies. We train decision-makers, technicians, and end-users in order to create sustainable renewable energy projects. Native American Program -- SEI works with Native Americans to help them satisfy their energy and housing needs with renewable energy and natural building. SEI works with Native American NGOs and non-profit organizations and has trained people from the Western Shoshone, Skull Valley Goshute, Lakota Sioux, Yurok, Zuni, Hopi, and Chippewa Nations.
