Alternative energy producers in Ontario are waiting to see if Michigan voters approve Proposal 3. Proposal 3 mandates that 25 percent of the state's electricity must be provided by renewable resources by 2025. Unconquered Sun Solar Technologies of Windsor is planning to enter the US market if the proposal passes. Schneider Electric has cut its energy consumption by 25 percent at its 160 industrial sites globally since the company began publishing details of its energy efficiency solutions in 2005. The reduction has resulted in savings of 15 percent. Using its Struxureware energy monitoring software and services, Schneider Electric aims for an additional 10 percent savings by 2014.
