Fortress Paper has announced an electricity supply agreement with Hydro Quebec for the sale of green electricity to be produced at the Fortress Global Cellulose Mill's cogeneration facility upon its re-start. The agreement was entered into with Hydro-Quebec Distribution's Power Purchase Program for electricity derived from forest biomass. Fortress will provide up to 34 megawatts of green power to Hydro Quebec. The Global Energy Seminar, an executive education program at Harvard Business School, will take place on the university's campus next Monday through Thursday. The program will examine emerging business models, technological innovations, and industry challenges facing energy companies. Topics that will be addressed include the production of biofuels from sugar cane in Brazil, the impact of the presidential election on energy policies, and the controversies surrounding shale gas fracking.
