Annual regional sales volumes of solar energy equipment over the past five years have surged from 100 million shillings to 800 million shillings, this now accounting for about a fifth of the firm's gross sales. Oversupply in the global market coupled with better technology in the manufacture of solar panels has led to more homesteads in developed and in developing countries embracing solar as their primary source of energy.
