solar power companies - PV-Tech Newscast -- April 5, 2012
The big news on everyone's lips this week is the downward tumble of former giant Q-Cells, which is now hoping it can restructure its finances under administration. We've also heard of the demise of CIGS thin-film specialist Odersun -- another victim of the so-called 'solar shakeout'. But things are progressing nicely elsewhere, with news that SolFocus and Grupo Musa are kicking off construction on a 450MW CPV plant in Baja, California. We've got the latest on Germany's FiT saga, while our roving reporter Mark Osborne, who attended and presented at the PV Fab Managers' Forum, reports on SEMI PV Group's latest edition of its International Technology Roadmap for PV. Companies: Grupo Musa, NPD Solarbuzz, Odersun, Q-Cells, Scheuten Solar, Schott Solar, SEMI PV Group, Solar Millennium, Solarhybrid, SolFocus, SolMex Energy, Sunway Technology Investment Co., Synergy Technologies
