Direct Access or Energy Service Providers are alternative energy providers whom a customer can contract with to replace the energy they purchase from their local utility provider. Often times, customers look to ESP's to obtain lower energy pricing, or to exercise a vote in what type(s) of renewable energy they want to purchase, other than coal fired electricity; for example, solar, wind, or hydro. Not all ESP's are created equal, and not all ESP's will save a customer money. So, listen and learn about what you need to know and what steps you need to take if you want to access an ESP.
