renewable energy - Aquion Energy: Making non-toxic batteries to store energy




Aquion Energy makes cheap batteries to store power from renewable energy, which would help store energy generated from these energy sources. I interviewed Jay Whitacre, founder of Aquion Energy, at the Compass Summit in Los Angeles, about batteries that he developed out of his lab at Carnegie Mellon. The batteries are made out of salt, water, carbon, and manganese.
