home wind generator - Home made wind generator/ solar control board UPDATED

My 440 amp control board. Complete with breaker, fuses, load divert, 440 amp controller,1500 watt inverter and metering gauges. Currently using 4) 6 volt golf cart batteries parallel and in series (12v) yielding 440 amp hours vented through the wall to outside (gasses here are poison). I have made a total of 6 solar panels I made myself for less than $600. They are yielding much more power than expected. About $2400 worth retail. I hooked the output wires from them to the rectifier positive and negative. I will be adding more batteries and power output sources over time. The smartest thing I could do I just figured out (a year later) was to put a 2 watt 1-50k ohm potentiometer on the green wire of the charge controller. Previously it would start dumping power at 13.5 volts several times a day. With the potentiometer it is charging all day without overcharging. It more resembles a car charging system which is 14+ volts. Save yourself some grief and just do it. It cost $9.00 at an electronics shop. Your batteries will receive a much better charge without the constant load dumping.
