solar power companies - SolarNexus Solar Business Management Software Adds Professional Edition and Rebate Incentive Submission Features

Berkeley, Calif. (PRWEB) March 1, 2011

SolarNexus Inc. has enhanced its web-based solar business management software, which enables solar contractors to collaborate and automate the workflow from lead entry to system completion and operations. This new release expands the capabilities of SolarNexus, and enables solar contractors to better expedite account setup, reduce redundant data entry, and increase customization.

SolarNexus has also released a new edition, SolarNexus Pro, which provides contractors with an unlimited number of user licenses, as well as a number of additional premium features such as electronic submission of CSI rebate applications.

“We are proud to be adding such industry-leading features as the CSI application submission, as well as the many other enhancements in our newest release and the Pro Edition,” said Eric Alderman, president and CEO of SolarNexus. “As the leading business management solution for solar contractors, SolarNexus is pioneering ways to save our users time and effort spent on mindless paperwork, helping them to run more streamlined and profitable businesses.”

SolarNexus Pro includes an electronic application submission to the California Solar Initiative incentive program via PowerClerk, the first publicly available software system to do so. This feature eliminates redundant data entry when filing for the CSI incentive, and allows users to centrally manage CSI submission paperwork, saving time and money. SolarNexus plans to support similar offerings for other jurisdictions around the country in future releases. Other Professional Edition features, such as the ability to create custom fields and deal flow reporting, further enhance the software’s utility and flexibility.

In addition to releasing SolarNexus Pro, several new features have been added that will be available in both the Standard and Professional editions. One of the most powerful enhancements is an Account Setup Assistant that makes it simple to enter basic company information (e.g. products, prices) and setup colleagues within an account. This allows users to begin managing projects with their colleagues in minimal time.

Contractors that have used the new software report that it helps them reduce their company’s management costs more effectively and easily than ever. Ken Stadlin of Kenergy Solar, a leading contractor in the mid-Atlantic region, remarked: “The Account Setup Assistant made the startup process with SolarNexus a breeze. The wizard guided our team through the key setup steps so we could start creating quotes and running projects right away.”

Other new features include:

Dashboard notifications for colleagues when project milestones are completed
CSV import of customer and project data
New variables for sales documents, such as financial metrics, system configuration, product make/model, annual output, and environmental savings
A rich set of sample Company Catalog resource items covering the range of cost items needed to estimate a project, such as typical balance of system components (e.g. racking, wiring, etc.) and labor items (installation, travel time, admin, etc.)

Pricing & availability

The new release of the SolarNexus Standard Edition is available immediately. As before, the Standard Edition is free for up to 10 users per company.

The pricing system for SolarNexus Pro has been specifically designed to meet the financial needs of solar contractors. A success-based fee structure allows fees that reduce when installers have a low volume of business, but continues to allow each employee within a company to enjoy their own unique level of credentials and access to the software’s full functionality, even in leaner cycles.
